TERVE

Photographs by Toni Lehtola and Henna Tyrväinen
A performance on Finnish independence day. Among other things I shook hands with everyone in the audience, except for the ones who refused. I licked my palm between each handshake. Then I served kilju from sausage shot glasses and went to the mens room with three volunteers to do secret things.
Duration 20 minutes.

LÄHIÖLOTTO

Photographs by Antti Ahonen
A performance about suburb life and the 90’s. I made a drink into an umbrella. It was made by the help of an assistant and a railing. It was served to the audience. After that I opened some beer bottles and placed them in a line on the floor. I put on an ankle cuff with an added Jigglypuff-toy to my ankle. Then I played a soccer-related game known from Speden Spelit. I managed to knock all the beers over. The old Finnish lottery theme was playing in the background.
Duration 20 minutes.

PERFORMANCE
Photograph by Peppe Rosvik
I’m not sure if this performance was about festivals (inspired by Jättömaa), peeing or showering. It was probably mostly based on my oral fixation.
Duration 30 minutes.

I HAVE A FRIEND

Photograph by Peppe Rosvik
A performance based on story telling and somehow related actions. I also managed to burn the fuses during it, so that’s probably the thing that the audience remembers from this one.
“I have a friend who lives in a 80 year old house. The rain gutter of her house came down with the ice and snow during the winter. The rain gutter still lies on the ground. When people walk past her house they all stare at the rain gutter.”
“I have a friend who writes letters.”
“I have a friend who sings very often, very loud.”
“I have a friend who used to live in a small village as a child. There was not much to do she used sit behind the market and smoke cigarettes.”
Duration 10 minutes.

WAS HERE

A performance where I sprayed my name into various places, with deodorant into an armpit, with eye washing spray into my eyes, with spray paint onto some surface etc. I had some volunteers from the audience to help me. The performance was about artists self-importance.
Duration 10 minutes.
